There will be a welcome return to Herts Jazz Club for the Orient House Ensemble on Sunday (7.30pm-10pm) after they played one of the highlight gigs of 2013.

Gilad Atzmon is one of the greatest sax players of the era and has even been lauded by Robert Wyatt in the Guardian as ‘best musician in the world today’. Atzmon and the Orient House Ensemble, renowned for their unique mix of jazz, folk and Arab music, are releasing their eighth album, The Whistle Blower. The band has been touring for nearly 15 years, gaining a reputation as one of European jazz’s pre-eminent bands. Tickets cost £3 students/£8 members/£10 concessions/£11 full in advance or walk-ups cost £5 students/£9 members/£12 concessions/£13 full.
