The Old Town Hall in Hemel Hempstead will put on four performances of the brand new show Emily Brown and the Thing from Tall Stories, creators of the hugely popular Gruffalo stage show.

Something monstrous is keeping Emily Brown awake and you can find out what when it comes to town next Saturday and Sunday.

Tall Stories are treating Hemel Hempstead to preview performances and kicking off their UK tour before heading to Edinburgh Fringe later in the summer.

The show is based on the hugely popular book by Cressida Cowell – author of How to Train your Dragon – and Neal Layton.

One evening, Emily Brown and her old grey rabbit Stanley find a Thing crying outside their window. He just can’t get to sleep. Emily Brown and Stanley set off on incredible adventures to find the Thing’s cuddly... his bedtime milk... his medicine – but nothing seems to help him settle.

What is really troubling the Thing, and will anyone ever get any sleep? The show, which is suitable for children aged three and over, will be showing at 11am and 2.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8.

Tickets are £5.50 and £4 for Dacorum Card holders. For tickets click here or call the box office on 01442 228091.
