Singer-songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman’s new release features a string of songs she’s written and which have already been hits for others, but which she has never recorded herself.
Perhaps more famous for her work as a songwriter for such greats as Willie Nelson, Trisha Yearwood and Bonnie Raitt, Beth is an exceptional recording artist in her own right. A self-confessed champion of ‘adult contemporary music’ – rather than country – her beautiful voice has already produced fourhighly acclaimed albums. Terry Wogan listed Beth twice in his Top 20 of all-time favourite Radio 2 playlist – the only artist to be listed one than once.
The UnCovered collection, which was released only last month, will provide a focus for her forthcoming appearance at the Alban Arena on Friday, February 21.
Tickets for the gig, which starts at 7.30pm, are £23.50 and £19.50 – call the box office on 01727 844488 or visit the website at www.alban-arena.co.uk to check on availability.
