Comedy and music are regular bedfellows, and the recent success of Alex Horne’s Horne Section has shown that there is plenty of appetitite for a combination of silliness and songs.
And that’s good news for the troupers who make up the Ian English Boodlum Band, who hail from Tring and nearby towns.
They follow in the proud tradition of the likes of the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band and the Bill Kerr Whoopee Band to serve up a combination of toe-tapping and titters.
They’ll be showing what they can do at Aylesbury’s Limelight Theatre next Friday, October 11, at 8pm.
It’s a show crammed full of comedy, music, parody and wit, not to mention a little magic and a sprinkling of ventriloquism, as the talented players find inspiration in rock classics, pop hits, 1930s revivals and doo-wop favourites.
Tickets are £10.50 with £8.50 concessions – you can get yours from the theatre box office on 01296 431272 or by visiting the website at www.qpc.org.
