From Hemel to The Destination

WELL-KNOWN Hemel covers band Dorian Graze recently started writing their own material and now present their debut single The Destination - a powerful and melodic electro-rock fusion.

The boys have their roots firmly in Hemel Hempstead.

Lead vocalist Chris Walker moved to the town in 1989, attending Cavendish school and playing rugby for Camelot Rugby Club. He started out as a DJ and compère.

Former Longdean school pupil Steve Woodley on guitar and backing vocals has lived in Hemel all his life. Guns ‘n’ Roses and Muse inspired him to start playing guitar and he had his first gig in 2004 at a school Battle of the Bands.

Mark Devereux on drums and backing vocals went to school in Kings Langley and was an actor before turning to music.

Dorian Graze was born when Chris and Mark met at a karaoke night in Jumpin’ Jaks and Steve met Mark via an ad at Fretz Music Store.

Since launching their own material they’ve had great feedback from industry professionals and fans alike.

Terry Coldwell from East 17 said: “Amazing track with a great hook - strong vocals and a good mixture of piano, drums and guitar. They’re a great band and a great bunch of guys, definitely one to watch in 2011”
