Pioneers of British folk-rock Fairport Convention say Pendley’s Court Theatre is one of their favourite venues.
The band will return to the Tring venue during their current UK tour and founding member Simon Nicol said: “We always enjoy coming back here. In fact, the Court Theatre is one of our favourite venues.”
The Oxfordshire-based musicians have been on the road for more than 45 years, and have been hailed as the originators of the British folk-rock genre.
The audience will be treated to a selection of old favourite tunes as voted for in a poll by loyal fans, plus some fresh new material from their most recent album Festival Bell.
The semi-acoustic show promises a cosy and intimate atmosphere featuring vocalist Simon Nicol, bass guitarist Dave Pegg, Ric Sanders on violin, Chris Leslie playing the mandolin and the fiddle, and percussionist Gerry Conway.at
