Strings are certainly centre stage in Berkhamsted this weekend, with two concerts at which virtuoso players will take a bow.
First up is the Dacorum Symphony Orchestra, which welcomes back acclaimed violinist Francesca Barritt for its concert at Berkhamsted’s Centenary Theatre on Saturday.
Beethoven, Mozart, Schubert and Wagner are all on the programme for a performance which begins at 7.30pm.
Tickets are £12 for adults, £10 for concessions and there’s no charge for those 18 and under. You can order them online at dacorumso.weebly.com or by calling 01442 879996.
The following evening the Chroma Chamber Ensemble return to the Kings Arms for an eclectic autumn offering titled The Bohemian Forest.

Music will include Suk’s Meditations On An Old Czech Theme, Three Bohemian Songs arranged by Dave le Page, and Dvorak’s Quintet with Double Bass.
Tickets are £15 with £12 concessions, and under 18s get in free subject to availability.
