Visitors to Berkhamsted’s historic castle over the Easter weekend will be in good hands, because experts from the town’s Local History & Museum Society will be opening the landmark’s visitor room for the first time this year.
The room features 16 panels depicting the story of the castle and its connections with the town. It’s open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday but not tomorrow, Friday.
It will also be open during the summer season at weekends and bank holidays from 10am to 6pm. Admission is free but a donation to help fund the society’s work would be gratefully received.
