After a very successful day in Hemel Hempstead Market, the recruitment drive by Little Gaddesden Bowls & Croquet club moves on to the bowling green.
On April 26 there will be an open day at the club between 10am 4pm where anybody can drop in for as long as they wish.
The following day there will be an open day for croquet, while anyone unable to make the weekend can join in the first friendly practice bowls session on Monday, April 28 at 10am.
“All you need is a flat pair of shoes” said chairman Marika Graham-Woods. “The club provides equipment to get new players started. Those who become more serious can buy their own later on. It makes the sports accessible and affordable.”
Entries for internal competitions will be open from April 26.
“Our first internal event will be on Saturday, May 3, while the vets play their first match Tuesday, May 6 and the main team start on Sunday, May 11 against Kitcheners,” added club captain Alun March.
“Everyone is looking forward to the new season.”
