Hatch End Hawks Women’s Lacrosse Club is celebrating a very special win after becoming one of only three clubs in the country to be awarded High Performing Club status.
The Club, based in Great Missenden and Cow Roast, was given the accolade by English Lacrosse in recognition of its commitment to helping all players reach their potential in lacrosse.
High Performance Club status will allow the Hatch End Hawks to further their players’ skills, and broaden their popular outreach programme.
“We’re on a mission to make Lacrosse available to all,” said Maggie Hughes, Hawks development manager. “It’s a brilliant sport – fast, furious and fun. There’s no reason for it to be elitist, anyone can have a go.
“As a club we are determined to keeping growing, learning and sharing our love for the sport; ensuring that even more women and girls in the county get to play the game, and have fun doing so.”
Girls from Year 4 upwards can try out lacrosse this Easter at a Hatch End Hawks Holiday Camp. The camp takes place on April 14 and 15 from 10pm to 3pm at Pipers Corner School, Great Kingshill and costs £30 per day to attend. For more information email firstname.lastname@example.org
