Hemel Stags have made a defining step toward their entry into Championship 1 with the completion of the first stage of their stadium development project.
The fledgling Championship 1 club has finished work on a grand stand which will seat up to 400 people.
Completion of the project comes a week after the announcement of their Stags’ main sponsor for next season, Haven Holidays.
Tom Williams, Hemel Stags community manager said: “We still have a way to go but some important steps are being made and more are coming very soon.”
Stags announced earlier this year that they will be owned by a supporters’ trust and they are still looking for expressions of interest.
The trust will be set up in the next few months and payment options for shares will be available.
Williams said: “The reaction of the local business community has been very positive so far and our local residents seem excited by the prospect of our accession into the professional ranks.
“We want people in our local area and from far away to be a part of what we are trying to achieve here.
“We are an organically grown club and will continue to grow as such.
“I think it would be a truly inspiring project to be a part of and I implore anyone who is interested to buy a share in the future of this club.”
