Hot-shot Crowhurst does the double at Little Hay

Steve Crowhurst had a very successful week at Little Hay Golf Club as he bagged two titles.

On Sunday, Steve and his wife Hee-Young won the sixth round of the Winter League with 46 points.

Martin Evans and Nigel Hopkinson were second with 45 points.

Steve and Hee-Young lead the competition after Round 6, with Martin and Nigel in second place.

Meanwhile, in snowy and icy conditions, Steve won the Founders Day Stableford with 42 points.

In second place was Karl Burn with 37 points, and third was Brian Ridgeway with 36 points.

On Monday, the seniors joined up with the ladies to play a mixed pairs Greensomes competition.

On a very blustery day, the winning pair was Elaine Meagher and John Redgwell with 33 points, beating Elaine’s sister Chris Marsden and her partner John Murphy on count-back.

Vic Allen won the competition for those seniors that didn’t have a lady partner, with 37 points, and Trevor F Sargeant came second with 33 points.

Little Hay Golf Club is a very friendly and active club that welcomes new members.

The new membership year starts in April, but anyone who joins now will get the months up to April for free.
