The Tring ladies’ first team made it four wins in a row by beating Bedford 3-1 to take a three-point lead at the top of the table.
The team began well and they were quickly 1-0 up through a Holly Glover strike from a short corner.
Bedford hit back before half-time but, four minutes into the second half, Tring captain Glover netted her second goal of the game.
Amy Park was also having a storming game which she capped with Tring’s third goal.
The ladies’ 2s, meanwhile, were held to a 2-2 draw at Rickmansworth.
Tring started very well and, after some excellent play in the middle of the park, Chrissie Slater slotted home the first goal of the game.
Tring continued with the same determination, and a cross from Katie Haines found Katie Turnbull to make it 2-0.
To their credit, Rickmansworth fought back and eventually earned a share of the spoils with a late equaliser.
Elsewhere, The ladies’ third XI had the result of the day, racking up 17 unanswered goals in their demolition of Luton III.
Olivia Wright scored seven goals, Laura Roberts and Jenny Stokes got four each, and Ellie Burrows and Bethan Davies completed the rout.
The men’s first team, meanwhile, lost out 7-3 to division leaders Wallingford. Sam Payne, Ash Tillett and Mark Stevenson got the Tring goals.
It was better news for the men’s 2s, however, as they thumped West Hampstead 7-0 with goals from Tom Alderton (4), Josh Percy, Dave Bonner and Bruce McAlpine.
In other action, the men’s third team lost 8-0 to Ramgarhia Slough.
