Hemel Stags are hoping for a bumper crowd to cheer then on when they host Rochdale Hornets at Pennine Way on Sunday afternoon.
The club has teamed up with Dacorum Community Trust to put on a day of fun for fans and the community, with entertainment including a 9-hole crazy golf course, a fire engine, face painting, caricatures, and fun games for children.
The Stags have made an excellent start to their time in the semi-professional game, with five wins and four losses so far, and they currently sit in fifth place in the Championship 1 league table.
They recorded the shock result of the season a few weeks ago when they ended the unbeaten run of table-topping North Wales Crusaders in front of their biggest crowd of the campaign.
Sunday’s extravaganza will be used to raise money for the Dacorum Community Trust, who have been working closely with the Stags over the past few months.
Tom Williams, Hemel Stags sales and marketing director, said: “The Dacorum Community Trust are a fantastic charity.
“They make a measurable and real difference in our community and we should celebrate the work that they do.
“Sunday is all about raising money and awareness for the charity and also having a really fun day out.”
Gates open at 1pm, with the showcase match kicking off at 3pm.
Tickets can be pre-booked for £9 by calling the club on 01442 219799.
