It was another remarkable weekend for the ladies’ section at Berkhamsted & Hemel Hempstead Hockey Club, with all four teams enjoying victories against their respective opponents.
The ladies’ first team led the way with a thumping 5-2 win over Letchworth; player of the match was Sarah Brydon who scored her first goal for the side.
The table topping ladies 2s, meanwhile, continued their unbeaten run with another 2-0 win over Potters Bar. Remarkably, the side have scored two goals in every game so far, with five victories from five matched.
Elsewhere, the ladies 3s won a tight game 1-0 against Royston and now sit fourth in the league, while the young fourth XI won their first game of the season in some style - making the long journey to Royston and winning 6-0.
It was not such good news for the men’s section, however, as they recorded one draw and five defeats. The only team to avoid being beaten were the fourths, as they recoredd a creditable 1-1 draw with table topping Chesham.
