The first Hertfordshire Golf Week will tee off in April as part of the national drive to inspire more people to play the game.

From April 22 to 28, clubs and driving ranges across the county will offer free taster sessions for beginners of all ages.

There will also be follow-on coaching opportunities, including four-week courses of group lessons with PGA professionals from £20 per person.

The week is being run by the Hertfordshire Golf Partnership as part of the national Get Into Golf campaign, and activities can be found at by clicking on the activity map.

County development officer Emma Whitlock said: “Golf is a great game for everyone who enjoys friendship, fresh air and exercise.”
