Dacorum & Tring’s young athletes finished a respectable third overall at their Eastern Young Athletes league match held in Stevenage.
The U13 boys’ finished second out of seven clubs, with recently crowned county pentathlon champion Josiah Barker winning the long jump, while the 4x100 team also topped the table.
The all-powerful U15 boys’ team placed third, with its English Schools stars back in action on the day.
Ben Collins won the 100m, Chenna Okoh was top dog in the 200m and the 300m, Jackson Cowans won the 80m hurdles, and Michael Fryer took top spot in the pole vault.
Team-mate Joshua van Heiningen took the 1,500m, and the 4x100m team were also first.
The U17 boys were third, with wins from English Schools 100m star Dom Ashwell in both the 100m and 200m.
The U17 girls’ squad placed second, with wins from Ellen Henry (high jump), Jessica O’Sullivan (triple jump), Fiona McQuire (shot put and discus), Amber Carroll (javelin).
Laurette Wenborn won the U15 girls’ long jump, and Mia O’Connell took the U15 girls shot putt, helping the U15 team to second place.
