A solitary goal from Josh Blake provided little consolation to Berko Tornadoes Reserves as they were thrashed 6-1 by Nascot Arms in the first round of the Herts FA Sunday Intermediate Cup.
There was better news for BSFL representatives AFC Saints in the Sunday Junior Cup, however, as penalties from Eliot Rowland and Pete Austin earned them a 2-1 win at The Swan.
That was as good as it got for the BSFL sides, though, as GB Precision, Leather Bottle, Ollys Athletic, Hemel Harriers and Berko Tornadoes A were all sent packing at the first hurdle.
In league action, Premier Division sides Leverstock Green Corinthians and Berko Athletic shared an eight-goal thriller as strikes from Corinthians trio Craig Sharples (2), Chris Armorgie and Connor Calcutt were matched by efforts from Ross Trevillion (2), Tom Kelly and Ben Gomm for Athletic in a 4-4 draw.
AFC Boars had Curtis Donaldson and Sonny French to thank for a 2-1 win over Berko Tornadoes, while Comets Sports Club beat Everett Rovers 3-2 with strikes from Luke Sharpley (2) and Dan Holliman.
The other game in the division ended as a 0-0 stalemate between Flaunden and AFC Doves.
In BSFL Division One, a hat-trick from Brad Hedges and further goals from Jake Hosier and Jack Stapleton secured a 5-3 triumph for FC Intervino against Potten End Sunday.
Apsley Athletic won 3-2 against Gossoms End with efforts from Max Budgen (pen), Matthew Tizzard and Chris Linsell, while Greenacres II had Kai Lewis, Rhys Stonebank and Phil Maloney to thank for their 3-1 win over Focus. FC Jubilee and Echoes drew 2-2.
Old Bell Athletic were chiming in Division Two thanks to a 6-4 triumph against Comets Sports Club Res, with goals coming from Lavvi Zgimbau (3), Lewis Bulled, Daniel Ciurea and AJ Adamzoe.
Two goals from Greg Goodchild earned a 2-1 win for Sporting Oddfellows at Greenacres Tavern, while Chris Chance (2), Jamie Long and Lewis Wornham were the scorers for Hemel Tudors in a 4-3 victory at Landrovers.
Division Three saw Boxmoor beat Greenacres II Res 4-1 through efforts from Haydn Cassidy (2), Adam King and Tom Colquhoun, while The Midland triumphed 2-1 over Victoria United thanks to Mike McMorrin and Tom Klymkiw.
