SSML Premier Division preview: Comrades face Colney challenge, Leverstock look to ground the Jets, and Tring visit Stotfold

Dacorum’s SSML Premier Division trio are back in action tomorrow after last week’s wet weather played havoc with the fixture list yet again.

Leverstock Green and Tring Athletic return to the pitch after both sides saw their matches postponed last weekend, while Berkhamsted will be looking to get back on track following a disappointing blip.

Berko have been flying high all season but just one point from a possible six in their last two outings has put a dent in their title challenge.

The Comrades went down 1-0 to promotion rivals Hanwell Town last Tuesday, before being held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with St Margaretsbury on Saturday, but Mick Vipond’s side will be aiming to respond positively against Colney Heath tomorrow.

The game is by no means a guaranteed win for second-placed Berko, and they know that they will need to be at their best if they are to take all three points.

Colney Heath are enjoying a decent campaign themselves and currently sit in fourth position in the table, so an exciting game is on the cards.

Leverstock Green, meanwhile, travel to Oxhey Jets tomorrow as they look to make an end-of-season surge up the table.

Dene Gardner’s side won their last outing 3-0 against Hadley, but were not in action last weekend as their game at Hatfield Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

Levy currently sit in 20th place in the table after a dreadful start to the campaign, but they have improved significantly since Gardner’s arrival.

Oxhey Jets, meanwhile, find themselves in 15th position in the division, 10 points above Levy on 33 points.

Elsewhere, Tring travel to Stotfold looking to complete a league double over their hosts following a 2-0 win at The Grass Roots stadium in September.

Julian Robinson’s Tring side are sitting comfortably in mid-table, while Stotfold are struggling in 19th place.

Tring were beaten 2-0 by Colney Heath in their last outing and will be looking to make amends tomorrow.
