Tring Athletic’s poor run of form stretched to one win in 10 league games as they lost at home to Hadley.

A disappointing second half performance condemned Athletic to another defeat and saw them slip two places to 14th in the MSSML Premier Division league table.

In the first half, Athletic competed well and managed to bounce back from conceding a 20th minute opener to Dom Petrucci.

Four minutes after going behind, Graham Hall crashed the ball home to restore parity after a free-kick was not properly cleared.

An entertaining first half ended with the scores level at 1-1 but Athletic crumbled after the break and allowed the visitors to dominate.

The home side had a few narrow escapes and it came as no surprise when Hadley regained the lead after 61 minutes through Alexis Nicolas.

Missing three of their top strikers, Athletic have struggled to find the net in recent matches and knew they were facing an uphill battle to rescue anything from the game.

Tony Fields and Sam Joliffe came off the bench and sparked a response from the hosts, but Hadley made sure of the win nine minutes from time when Winnie Taylor headed home from a corner.
