Watford Ladies Reserves’ clash with Bristol Academy Reserves was abandoned at half-time as the Sun Postal FC pitch became waterlogged after a torrential downpour during the first half.
Bristol were leading 3-0 at half-time after dominating proceedings thanks largely to Wales internationals Natasha Harding and Angharad James.
However, the officials decided that the pitch was not suitable for further play after the interval.
A decision will now be made by the league management committee to decide a new date for the fixture.
In action elsewhere, Watford Ladies loan star Sarah Wiltshire took her league tally to seven for the season as she notched another goal to help Cardiff City Ladies to a thumping 4-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur Ladies.
The goal was the start of a good week for Golden Girl Wiltshire as she also learned of her inclusion in the Wales senior squad to face England in a FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifier at Milwall’s New Den on Saturday.
The game is Wales’ second qualifying fixture following their narrow 1-0 win over Belarus last month, in which Wiltshire set up the winning goal for the Dragons.
Saturday’s fixture will be shown live on BBC Three at 7.05pm.
Meanwhile, the Golden Girls will see a number of players represent Hertfordshire this evening as they host Essex in the East Anglian Championship at the Country Ground in Letchworth.
Hertfordshire have won the last two titles and open their campaign looking for a good start. The match kicks off at 7.45pm.
On Sunday, with no scheduled fixture, the Watford Ladies Reserves will travel to play South East Combination League side Ipswich Town in a friendly, while the Watford Ladies Development Team will play Carshalton Athletic away. This is a top of the table clash in the London & SE Division One.
