Hemel Hempstead Town welcome Weymouth to Vauxhall Road tomorrow as they look to continue their Calor League Southern Premier Division title charge.

Table topping Hemel are eight points clear at the top of the division, and go into tomorrow’s clash on the back of a hard-fought 1-0 win over Poole Town in midweek.

The game saw Hemel record their 15th clean sheet of the season*, with Luke Allen bagging the winner with a spectacular volley in the first half.

Weymouth, meanwhile, were beaten 4-2 by Chesham in their last outing despite having fought back from 3-0 down to make it 3-2 in the second half.

After a bright start to the season, The Terras have been on a mixed run of form and currently sit in 11th place in the division.

Hemel beat Weymouth 3-0 the last time the teams clashed, with Lewis Toomey bagging a brace and Ollie Thorne also getting his name on the scoresheet.

The Tudors go into tomorrow’s game as favourites to complete the double over the Terras, and football statistics and predictions website believes that Dean Brennan’s side will get the points.

“Hemel got back to winning ways with a great midweek win against Poole and the stats this week suggest another win for Hemel,” said betstatz Owner Nick Gelis.

“An interesting stat this week is that in the 24 league games that Hemel have been winning at half-time this season, they’ve won 23 and drawn 1, whilst in the 13 league games that Weymouth have been losing at half-time this season, they’ve drawn two and lost 11.

“The previous form of Hemel at home suggests they can get on top early, which should seal the win.

“Our prediction this week is therefore Hemel to win at HT/FT, over 3.5 goals and a win to nil for Hemel.”
