Postal strike as Kings rue costly misses

Kings Langley were left to rue a number of missed opportunities as they were beaten 2-1 by Sun Postal Sports.

They dominated possession from the off and Connor Toomey’s fierce shot rattled the underside of the bar and bounced down onto the line.

The home side weathered the storm, however, and took a surprise lead when Nathan Pooley lashed home.

Kings responded well and created some good scoring chances. As half-time approached, Tom Carter was tripped in the box and skipper Gary Connolly coolly dispatched the penalty.

But it was Sun who went on to bag the winner after the break as the ball was swung into the area and Ashley Lewis got the vital touch.
