Leverstock Green 1 Oxhey Jets 7
Leverstock Green suffered their worst defeat in eight years as they were thrashed by Oxhey Jets at Pancake Lane on Saturday.
Missing five first choice players, Green were torn apart by the Jets, who could in truth have reached double figures.
The visitors opened the scoring in the ninth minute through Lewis Putnam, before Danny Tilbury fired home a second eight minutes later.
Within a minute it was 3-0 as Putman crossed for Ian Bywater to score with a diving header, and the visitors added a fourth after 25 minutes through Gavin Hart.
Levy should have pulled a goal back after 34 minutes, but Tobi Akin could only head over the bar from close range.
Oxhey made it 5-0 just four minutes into the second half when Putman fired home his second, but Green pulled a goal back with 71 minutes played as Craig Sharples netted from close range after good work from Tom Banbury.
It was the Jets who had the last laugh, though, wrapping up the win with further goals from Lee Inch and Putnam.
