Hemel Hempstead Town FC look set for a title challenge next season after retaining the services of the core of the squad that came so close to earning promotion this year.

No less than a dozen Tudors players have committed their future to the club for the 2013/14 season, with more expected to be confirmed later this week.

Sam Beagle, Danny May, Moussa Diarra, Anthony Maissiat, Ryan Parsons, Jake Gilbert, Dave King, Alex Campana, Victor Osobu, Charlie Mpi, Dave Pearce and skipper Jordan Parkes have all signed new contracts at Vauxhall Road.

And Hemel manager Dean Brennan has also completed the signing of 21-year-old goalkeeper Alex Tokarczyk from Conference South side Maidenhead United.

Tokarczyk has represented the England Colleges National Squad and was capped on several occasions.

On their way out of the club, meanwhile, are Matt Nolan and Joe Bruce, who have signed for newly-promoted Dunstable Town.

Nolan’s last kick for the Tudors was the penalty which was saved to end the club’s promotion chances against Gosport Borough.

A Hemel Town FC spokesman said: “The club would like to thank Matt and Joe for their committed service during their time at Hemel and wish them all the best for the future.”
