Heavy defeats for Dacorum duo in West Herts League Premier


It was not a good day for Dacorum’s two Premier teams as Kings Sports and Tring Athletic A were both soundly beaten.

Kings were trounced 5-1 at home by Maple Cross despite a goal from Jason Nicolaou, while Tring went down to 3-1 to league leaders Hadley A.

Division One side Gadebridge FC fared much better, however, crushing Abbots Langley 6-1. Lewis Crowys notched a hat-trick with Dan Holliman, Stuart Meaney and Dan Hartley all on target.

Hemel Rovers Reserves also managed a win as they saw off Oxhey Jets A 4-2. Kai Lewis scored twice ,with Drew Duggan getting one and a header from Dave Flack completing the scoring.

Hemel Rovers A bounced back to winning ways after two previous heavy defeats as they beat Engineer Harpenden 2-0 thanks to a John Edey brace.

Potten End won 3-1 at Hunton Bridge and there was good news for Bovingdon as they overcame Harpenden Rovers A 3-2. Harry Woods hit the net twice and Billy Soden also found the net.
