Captain fantastic Jordan Parkes has been chosen as your Hemel Hempstead Town FC player of the season following a superb 30-goal campaign.
While the general election may well be hanging on a knife-edge, there was no such drama here as Parkes scooped the victory with an impressive 46 per cent of the vote*.
That put him a fair distance ahead of runner-up Dom Hyam, who scooped 27 per cent of the votes cast, while striker Oliver Hawkins was third with eight per cent.
Next in the standings came Jorell Johnson with five per cent, ahead of Laurie Walker (four per cent), Luke Allen (three per cent), and Ed Asafu-Adjaye (two per cent).
All of the remaining members of the Hemel squad received one per cent of the vote or less.
Parkes will be looking to make it a clean sweep of awards on Friday night at the club’s official presentation evening.
*Please note, this poll was carried out by the Gazette, and was a separate vote from the official Hemel Hempstead Town FC supporters’ player of the year award.
