Elsewhere, SWR Doors’ hopes of retaining their league crown took a massive blow as they lost 4-1 at Wellington Arms.

Tring Athletic A secured a point in a goalless encounter with Oxhey Jets A, while Kings Sports were thrashed 8-0 by champions elect Park Street.

Division One side Bovingdon, meanwhile, took another beating – this time a 5-0 loss at Glenn Sports – but Hemel Rovers Reserves managed a 1-1 draw at home to Oxhey FC. Wasim Hussain scored their goal.

There was good news from the Tring Athletic B camp after a Tom Haynes effort was enough for all three points in Division Two against JC United.

Division Three side Potten End kept their promotion hopes alive by beating rival contenders Sarratt A 3-2. Dale Jenkins. Dean Boswell and Mike Pettingell were both on target.

Meanwhile, there was no joy for Hemel Sharpshooters or Gadebridge FC in their respective cup matches.

Sharpshooters went down 2-0 at Langleybury and, despite goals from Lewis Crowys and Neil Howell, Gadebridge were beaten 4-2 at home by Abbots Langley.
