Kings Langley Ladies started brightly against Houghton Athletic Ladies but eventually suffered a 7-2 defeat.
Kings pressed for the opening 10 minutes, but when an injury forced Langley to reorganise, the visitors swooped to nab three quick goals.
At the other end of the pitch, Kim Nield hit the side netting, before Mary Hogan’s low drive reduced the arrears shortly after half-time.
However as things opened up with Kings going on the offensive, they were picked off on the counter by a pacy visiting side.
It was not all doom and gloom for Kings, though, as former Spurs winger Sophie Jackson scored on her debut, steering her header over a static keeper after 77 minutes.
