With just a few days to go until the World Cup kicks off, GK Icon is starting the competition early with its Back of the Net challenge.
Anyone wishing to enter simply has to guess how many goals will be saved by England keeper Joe Hart in the first round of Brazil 2014.
Those guessing the right number will be entered into a prize draw to win a free training session with Brentford goalkeeper Richard Lee.
Three runners up will each receive a pair of GK Icon goalkeeping gloves signed by Richard Lee.
Entries must be submitted via Twitter, @gkicon or via a post on the Facebook page, www.facebook.com/GKIcon by noon on June 10 2014. The winner will be contacted via Twitter and/or Facebook by July 15 2014.
The brainchild of Lee, Brentford FC’s number one, GK Icon was formed more than three years ago with the aim of raising the standard of goalkeeping in the UK.
Launched with the help of the nation’s top goalkeepers, the scheme has already had a raft of success stories with several keepers signing for professional clubs.
The aim of the organisation is to offer young goalkeepers the opportunity to fulfil their potential through a range of training resources.
GK Icon runs sessions in a variety of locations across Dacorum, including Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted and Tring.
