Sam Flood fittingly bagged a brace of goals on a weekend when the BSFL fixtures were decimated due to waterlogged pitches.

Flood struck twice for Doves United in a 5-3 Division One victory at Old Grey Mare, with Stefan Owen-Edwards, Ben Hammond and John Walker also on target for the visitors.

Tom Colclough (2) and Dean Gavin were the goalscorers for the home side.

Elsewhere, Greenacres II saw their Herts FA Sunday Junior Cup run come to an end as they were beaten 2-1 by Sandon FC in the fifth round of the competition.

Scott Webster was on target for Greenacres but it was not enough to stop them from slipping to the narrow defeat.

The only other BSFL game of the weekend saw Echoes Reserves run out 4-2 winners over Envirologistics in Division Three.

Jack Collier led the way for Echoes with two goals, and Jack Watts and Rhys Cassidy also got on the scoresheet.

Alex Groom and Andy Young were the scorers for Envirologistics.
