A new Bella Italia will open in Hemel next week, and will be the firm’s biggest restaurant in the country.
The Italian eaterie, based in Jarman Park, opens on Monday (July 13) and will operate seven days a week.
The venue will host 192 covers and is set to create 30 jobs.
Plans for the new restaurant were first revealed by the Gazette in April.
General manager David Cornish said: “We thought if anywhere could handle the country’s biggest Bella Italia it was Hemel Hempstead.
“There’s a great sense of community and generosity of spirit here, that we’re already feeling part of – we’re even about to take part in the Hemel Hempstead 10K for the local hospice.
“I really think that Bella’s fun outlook and fabulous food will go down a storm here – we can’t wait to open the doors.”
The space, off St Albans Road has seen major improvement work this year after falling into disrepair, including 1,505sqm of the site being allocated for food retailing.
Jarman Park is already home to outlets such as Frankie & Benny’s, Subway and Chiquito restaurants, and the regenerated Planet Ice rink, while a gym and both Coast To Coast and Hungry Horse restaurants opened earlier this year.
There are also plans for further retail development, car parking spaces and a drive-through coffee shop.
