Police are hunting for thieves who stole two motocross bikes after breaking into a house in Hemel Hempstead.
The crooks broke into a property in Pluto Rise between midnight and 5am on Saturday, January 2.
They forced open a window at the back of the property before going into the garage and stealing an orange KTM SX150 motocross bike and a green Kawasaki KX250F motocross bike.
A number of items were also stolen from the house, including a black Michael Kors purse, cash, perfume, a set of red and blue Alias motocross clothing, a Makita skill saw and hammer drill.
Detective Constable Pete Spiers said: “This burglary has caused great upset to the victims, as it comes so soon after the festive period.
“Both bikes are very distinctive and it’s possible someone may have seen them since the incident.
“I would like to hear from anyone who is offered the bikes, or other items, for sale or believes they know of their whereabouts.
“Equally, I’d like to speak with anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the burglary.”
Anyone with any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact DC Spiers via Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference D1/16/26.
