Two arrested after Berkhamsted pub toilet tussle leaves man with minor facial injuries

A brawl in the toilets of a Berkhamsted pub which left one man with injuries to his face has led to two arrests.

The man suffered a bloodied nose and swollen eye after being hit in the face during a fight between two groups of people in the toilets at The Lamb in the town’s High Street at around 11.30pm on Saturday night.

While one of the groups left the pub and got into a black Land Rover, which was parked in the same road, the other group followed and a further clash occurred in the street.

Det Con Andrew Roseblade,investigating, said: “Thankfully no one was seriously hurt and we are fully investigating what happened.

“This incident happened very quickly, therefore we would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed what happened or saw a physical or verbal altercation prior to or after the incident so we can establish exactly what happened.

“We also wish to hear from anyone who was in or outside the pub around the time of the incident who may have heard or saw part or all of the altercation.”

Two 28-year-old men from London were arrested on suspicion of assault and have since been released on police bail until Saturday, March 22.
