It may only be October, but the people of Tring are already planning for the annual Christmas Festival.

The free event – which is organised by Tring Together and attracts between 8,000 and 10,000 people each year – sees the High Street closed between 6.30pm and 9.30pm to make way for a seasonal celebration.

On November 29, the night will kick off with the young winner of the local schools’ Design-A-Light competition switching on the illuminations.

Visitors will be able to browse more than 60 festive stalls lining the High Street selling Christmas gifts and goodies, while the Victoria Hall on Akeman Street will be home to Santa’s Grotto for the evening.

Tring Together are on the hunt for performers, local retailers, stallholders, volunteers, charities and community groups to be involved on the night.
