Abbots Langley lorry driver dies after Hampshire motorway crash

A lorry driver from Abbots Langley has died following a crash on the M3 near Eastleigh in Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.

Antony Welling, 60, was at the wheel when his 7.5 tonne Mercedes lorry collided with a barrier at Junction 13 of the motorway at 4.50pm.

He was taken to Southampton General Hospital where he later died.

His passenger, a 45-year-old man from Essex, suffered serious but not life threatening injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision, but anyone who witnessed the crash should contact Dan Golding at the Totton Roads Policing unit on police non-emergency number 101.
