An audit of Tring town centre’s street furniture will be conducted next Wednesday in order to agree a schedule of works in preparation for the town’s Charter 700 celebrations.

The audit will be undertaken by Tring Town Council’s clerk, the town warden and Dacorum Borough Council.

A report to the town council says: “The results of the Town Plan questionnaire have highlighted the general appearance of the town centre as a priority. Also there is a need to prepare the town centre for the Charter 700 celebrations.”

Street furniture includes benches, traffic barriers, bollards, post boxes, phone boxes, streetlamps, traffic lights, traffic signs, bus stops, tram stops, taxi stands, public lavatories, fountains, watering troughs, memorials, public sculptures, and waste receptacles.
