THOSE that love a good sing song are being called on to join a community choir that will spread festive joy.
The Urban Mass Choir, which was launched last year, is running a six-week singing course suitable for all the family that will culminate in a concert.
The woman behind the project, Charlotte Roel, said: “It promises to be an extremely festive event.”
Last year the choir, made up of 42 singers, performed at a sold-out concert in Hemel Hempstead.
This time around Charlotte hopes to attract even more singers.
She said: “There is power in many voices that is just a natural high.”
The course kicks off this week but places are still available.
It costs £29.99 to take part with the concert being held at the South Hill Centre in Cemetery Hill on Friday, December 9.
From 8pm to 9.30pm, singers will belt out Christmas carols, as well as excerpts from Handel’s Messiah in a bid to get audience members into the Christmas spirit.
Tickets, booked before November 14, cost £10 for adults, £5 for under 16s or £25 for a family ticket. After this date the price increases to £12 for adults, £6 for under 16s and £32 for a family ticket.
