VOLUNTEER Centre Dacorum is asking for support from the community to help make the Olympic torch relay event in Hemel Hempstead a day to remember.

More than 100 marshals are needed to help out on the day – Sunday, July 8 – and they are required to be over 18 and prepared to stand for more than three hours.

Lauren Blowman, the Herts 2012 volunteer co-ordinator for Dacorum said: “Having the Games in our country really is a once in a lifetime experience.

“If you want to be part of the excitement, don’t hesitate to get in touch – It will definitely be a day to remember for Dacorum.”
