Charity founder Robert Breakwell will find out tonight if he has been crowned local hero in the prestigious Pride of Britain Awards.
The accolade is dedicated to people who work to improve the lives of people around them.
Chilterns MS Centre chief executive Robert, who founded the Pepper Foundation, is up against 12 other hopefuls.
The 55-year-old dad, from Aston Clinton, will attend a glitzy London awards ceremony tonight hosted by mathematics whiz Carole Vorderman when he will find out if he has won the title of local hero.
A whole host of other categories are up for grabs tonight ranging from courageous children to inspiring members of the emergency services who will be recognised for their efforts.
The night will see nominees rub shoulders with the rich and famous including X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger, actor James Corden of Gavin and Stacey fame and Formula One driver Jenson Button.
ITV will screen the awards show at 8pm on Tuesday.
