The official route of the Friends Life Women’s Tour of Britain, which will end in Hemel Hempstead, is due to be revealed on Monday.
Crowds are expected to turn out when women cyclists, including top athletes in the sport, pedal their way through the Chilterns Hills on Saturday, June 21.
They will be completing the final stage of the competition, starting in Marlow, Bucks and completing the ride in Leighton Buzzard Road, Hemel Hempstead, at around 1.45pm
On Monday, Dacorum Borough Council and Bucks County Council will announce the local route.
The women’s tour runs from June 17 to 21 with 16 teams taking part. This is the first time that the women’s tour has come through the local area.
