He says he has got two Team GB triathletes on-board as coaches, but cannot reveal their identities at this stage.

There will be five coaching sessions a week to begin with, rising to nine from Thursday, January 9.

The sessions will help competitors improve their swimming, cycling, running and core stability.

Cliff – who recently organised the Trail of Herts 55-mile ultramarathon from Berkhamsted to London – hopes to organise a duathlon, and a short-distance and long-distance triathlon near Berkhamsted.

He said the duathlon will be held in a stately home, but details are yet to be finalised. The events will be held in spring and summer next year, he said.

Members of Tri-King will also compete in events as a team. They will be filmed during training sessions, so coaches can show them how to improve their techniques.

Coaches will include Rebecca Denham from David Lloyd Triathlon Club and Zoe Doyle, first female finisher in races including the 10k Gaddesden Gallop between Little Gaddesden and Nettleden

The training sessions will be held in The Health Hub, the Knox-Johnson Sports Centre in Kings Road, Berkhamsted, and at Sportspace’s Dacorum sites.
