College Lake Artists is a group of nine artists and makers, exhibiting at a new venue added to this year’s Bucks Open Studios.

Visitors can combine a visit to the exhibition with a walk around BBOWT’s beautiful nature reserve near Tring, and enjoy home made baking at the cafe as well.

Artwork on display will include contemporary jewellery, paintings inspired by human nature and by Scotland, porcelain ceramics, textiles, sculpture and metal creations.

Photographer Louisa Stobbs from Berkhamsted brought the group together. She said: “We will be donating a percentage of our sales to this brilliant nature reserve.”

Louisa takes her inspiration from the Chilterns with Ashridge’s bluebell woods, vivid rape fields, summer farm crops and wonderful autumn colours in the beech woods. She said: “I really enjoy printing on new and unusual media, and my massive weather-proof aqua canvases are particularly designed for displaying in the garden.”

Bucks Open Studios celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, and although based primarily in Buckinghamshire it does have a few locations in towns and villages just over the border in neighbouring counties.

College Lake Artists will exhibit from 10am - 4pm on Saturday (June 6) through to Sunday June 21.
