Dacorum is on the hunt for a new crimestopper, after the Neighbourhood Watch announced a big vacancy.

The service has begun the search for a new liaison officer, to coordinate efforts between the public and the Crime Reduction and Community Safety Department.

They will be responsible for districts across Dacorum, Three Rivers and Watford, and for organising meetings and events intended to promote and serve the Neighbourhood Watch locally.

Potential applicants should expect to work closely with police stations across the area, and will be the first port of call for watch members in Dacorum.

Just under 100,000 households in Hertfordshire are members of the Neighbourhood Watch, with around 1,000 homes joining every month.

The closing date for applications is January 17.
