The generous team at Tring Market Auctions will donate their day’s wages to charity at the end of the month.

The auction on Saturday, November 23, is in aid of the Pepper Foundation, which is dedicated to funding a nursing service for children with life-limiting illnesses.

More than £350,000 a year is needed to maintain a team of specialist paediatric nurses who care for local children and their families.

All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the foundation, as well as all profit made in the site’s cafe, Le Gavel.

If readers would like to support the event, they are invited to look through their lofts, cupboards and garages for items they could send to auction. They must contact the auction rooms in Brook Street on 01442 826446 with their entries by Tuesday, November 19.

People can view all sale items from 9am to 6pm the day before, and the sale will be open for viewing at 8.30am before bidding commences at 10am on the Saturday.

Tring Market Auctions is owned by Stephen Hearn, whose wife Penny is Dacorum mayor. She is supporting the Pepper Foundation this year.
