SOLICITORS will support The Hospice of St Francis by giving away free wills.

Firms in Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, Chesham, Leighton Buzzard and Aylesbury are taking part in the charity’s first Make a Will Fortnight, running from March 7 to 18.

The hospice in Berkhamsted is asking for donations in return for the free or discounted will service, which can cost up to £175.

Christian Jones, hospice trusts and legacies officer, said: “There is no obligation to include the hospice in your will, but leaving a legacy is a beautiful way to continue supporting something you care deeply about.”

During the last financial year, the good cause received £667,000 from people who had left money to the charity in their wills.

To arrange an appointment with local participating solicitors call James Houghton at Austins Penny and Thorne solicitors in High Street, Berkhamsted, on 01442 872141 or June Yap from Pickworths in Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead, on 01442 261 731.

Please mention the Hospice of St Francis Make a Will Fortnight when you call either of the two to take part.
