THE windscreen of a lorry travelling on the M25 was smashed when children dropped an item off a bridge above it.
The driver of the lorry, who was not injured, saw three children waving from the Ovaltine Farm bridge between the M1 and A41 junctions.
As he passed under the bridge at around 3.15pm on Saturday, January 21, one of the children dropped an unknown item which smashed the windscreen.
All three youngsters are believed to be around 11 or 12 years old. Two were wearing grey tracksuits and the other was wearing a dark blue tracksuit.
PC Owen Nee said: “Incidents such as these can have extremely serious consequences but thankfully in this case the lorry driver was not injured.
“I would like to speak with the children who were on the bridge.
“We believe two of the children in the group were not directly involved in what happened.
“If anyone knows who they are or who saw what happened I would ask that you contact police.”
