Hemel Hempstead will remember its fallen heroes with a town centre service on Monday - Armistice Day.
Dacorum Mayor Penny Hearn, deputy mayor Allan Lawson and Dacorum Borough Council chief executive Sally Marshall will be at the bandstand in Marlowes for a public two minute silence at 11am.
Before that, on Sunday, representatives from RAF Halton and the Royal British Legion will be joined by local dignitaries at the bandstand from 10.10am before marching down to the Boxmoor War Memorial for the laying of wreaths, which will be followed by a church service.
Meanwhile, Tring will host a Poppy Saturday at the town’s Memorial Gardens off High Street from 11am to midday this weekend. There will be fundraising for the Royal British Legion, free hot chocolate on offer and musical entertainment.
In Berkhamsted there will be a service at St Peter’s Church on Remembrance Sunday from 3pm.
