A motorbike loving Jack Russell has toured Europe on the back of a Gold Wing and her pillion riding antics have attracted fans from across the globe.
Six year old Molly belongs to Hemel Hempstead biker Ron Evans and the pair turn heads wherever they go.
Ron said:“Before she couldn’t even go outside of the house because she hadn’t had her jabs, I took her to my motorcycle when I was working on it and sat her one it.
“She just curled up and went to sleep.
“I did that every evening for about a week or so and then I did the same thing with the engine running and it didn’t bother her. She curled up and went to sleep again.
“Then I started riding in a figure of eight.”
Ron slowly increased the time Molly, who is safely strapped in using a harness, spent on the Honda motorbike.
He said: “She took to it like a duck to water and now she goes everywhere with me.”
Last year the duo covered 2,700 miles travelling through Europe, visiting France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. Now Ron plans to do it all again this summer with mascot Molly, who even has her own biker jacket.
The good natured dog often poses for pictures and, during their travels, 60 year old Ron was even stopped by an Italian policeman who wanted a snap to show his children.
“People are just amazed to see her,” said Ron, “and then they make friends with her.”
He has recently introduced Molly to the world of social media and she now has her own Facebook page - ‘Ron Molly’s Rider’.
Ron said: “The next thing I knew I had people contacting me from Italy, Japan and the USA. There is even someone from Colombia who wants a picture of her.”
Ron and Molly are both members of the Herts, Beds and Bucks Bikers group. “She is a bit of a mascot,” said Ron.
