Yasmin Hurford, of Rymill Close in Bovingdon, penned an endearing letter to Her Majesty asking if she would come to her teddy bears’ picnic.
And what makes it even sweeter is that her mother did exactly the same thing more than 30 years ago when she was turning six.
The youngster, who goes to Bovingdon Primary School, wrote: “Dear The Queen, I would like to kindly invite you to come to my 7th birthday party.
“It’s a teddy bears’ picnic at my house on Saturday, October 1, at 11.30. I hope you can come. Love and best wishes, Yasmin Hurford.”

Mum Sarah, 38, said: “I was upstairs. I heard everybody screaming: ‘The letter has arrived from The Queen’........ Turn to Page 4
